“Teachers’ Day”&”Teacher’s Day”傻傻的分不清？

今天是9月10日教师节，“老师，您辛苦了！” 祝天下所有的老师教师节快乐！

教师节的正式英语表达是Teachers’ Day，而不是Teacher’s Day，你答对了吗？ September 10th is Teachers’ Day，我们也可以祝愿老师们教师节快乐，可以说Happy Teachers’ Day。

Teachers’ Day，是“名词+’s”的形式，一般的名词无论是单数还是复数，只要名词的最后一个字母不是s，它的所有格直接加’s就行。

但Teachers是一个复数名词，因为教师节是所有教师的节日应该用复数，如果用Teacher’s Day是指一个教师的节日，比如Mother’s Day(母节节)，Father’s Day是用的单数，因为一个人只有一个父母。

因此教师节就要用Teachers’ Day，类似的还有April Fools’ Day(愚人节)，International Women’ Day(妇女节)都应该用复数。
